James Beard Award-winning and Michelin-starred Chef Tony Mantuano is one of the country’s most influential voices in Italian and Mediterranean cooking. He is Partner at The Purple Pig, the acclaimed Mediterranean restaurant with locations in downtown Chicago and Oak Brook, where he helps guide the culinary vision and leads an exceptional team across both locations. The first to bring fine Italian dining to Chicago’s Spiaggia, Mantuano has built one of the country’s most respected culinary careers; during his tenure, Spiaggia earned and maintained one Michelin star for nine consecutive years. He has received 12 James Beard Foundation nominations and won Best Chef: Midwest in 2005. Most recently, he served as Food & Beverage Partner at Yolan in Nashville. A respected mentor to generations of chefs, he is also the co-author of Wine Bar Food and The Spiaggia Cookbook.
