|The Big Chill(i): Gourmet Chili Cook-Off|
The Big Chill(i): Gourmet Chili Cook-Off presented by Illinois Beef Association & Iowa Beef Industry Council. Chili-loving Texas native Chef Sarah Grueneberg went back to her roots to host our first-ever Gourmet Chili Cook-Off competition. The Big Chill(i) featured an array of high-profile chefs AND local Chicago firefighters bringing their brand of heat to battle it out, bowl-by-bowl, as the 2019 Chicago Gourmet break-out event of the year! At the end of a terrific evening, a celebrity panel of judges presented Chef Kevin Hickey of The Duck Inn the Judge's Award and Firefighters Dan LaBonte and Nick DelMarto were crowned the People's Choice Award!
Benefiting the 100 Club, which provides for the families of first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty, this event honored our firefighters and policemen who risk their lives each day.
