Chef Mike Warner, 32, a proud new father and Indiana native, spent the majority of his childhood outdoors and on his grandparents farm. This is where he developed his passion for food.
At the age of 23 he moved to Chicago and started the next chapter of his life. He attended Le Cordon Bleu and graduated with an Associate of Occupational Science Degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts. From there, he worked for Mike Schatzman and his mentor Worachai Thapthimkuna opening and acting as Sous Chef at Union Sushi + Barbecue Bar. Five years later he helped open their sister restaurant, The Franklin Room, where he is currently the head chef.
Mike's culinary skills have been featured on Turano’s website. He loves to give back preparing Thanksgiving and Easter meals for the community and is always finding new ways to put a twist on classic recipes. In his free time you can find him barbecuing or catching a Cubs game with his wife and son.
