Commander Michael Pigott
Commander Michael Pigott is a twenty seven year veteran of the Chicago Police Department and has worked in a uniformed patrol for most of his career. For five years he was assigned as the Executive Officer at the Chicago Training Academy, overseeing both recruit and in-service training. He graduated from the FBI National Academy in 2012.
Commander Pigott is currently assigned to the 1st District as the Commander for the Chicago Police Department. The 1st District is known as the Central Business District and is comprised of the downtown area, the Loop, Millennium and Grant Park, Museum Campus, Soldier Field, and the neighborhoods of the South Loop and Bronzeville. The 1st District can routinely swell by over one million people during a normal work day including people working in the area and tourists.
Commander Pigott is a lifelong resident of the City of Chicago and a second generation CPD member. Pigott, along with his wife Kelly, are the proud parents of two adult children.
