Lin Brehmer is the veteran music man of the 93XRT Morning Radio Show. On the morning of Dec. 30th 1991, he placed a needle on the record, “This Must Be the Place” by Talking Heads to augur a new chapter in a radio career that began in 1977. He celebrated his 25th anniversary as XRT's morning DJ earlier this year. His persuasive charm has inspired XRT News Anchor Mary Dixon to leave and come back and leave and come back and leave and come back. The two of them can be heard 5:30-10:00 am, Monday through Friday.
Brehmer is perhaps best known as the author of “Lin’s Bin,” a series of radio essays that air on Mondays and Fridays at 7:15am and 6:15pm. He is the only Chicago Gourmet Hamburger Hop Judge to return to the judge’s table 9 consecutive years. Over the last quarter century he has hosted Chicago’s Wingfest, Shaw’s Oyster Fest, 93XRT and Supreme Lobster’s Rockin’ Lobster Fest and is a regular moderator of the mainstage cooking demonstrations at Bon Appetit Presents Chicago Gourmet.
He can also be seen cooking or hosting cooking demos at CBS Radio’s new Culinary Kitchen at 93XRT.com.
