Julia Momose is the cocktail creative at Oriole, the two Michelin-starred tasting menu restaurant from Executive Chef Noah Sandoval and Pastry Chef Genie Kwon. Julia oversees the beverage program for Oriole alongside Sommelier Aaron McManus. This year, Julia was awarded Mixologist of the Year at the Jean Banchet Awards. In 2016, she was named one of Eater’s “Young Guns,” a prestigious collection of ambitious and talented rising stars. That same year, Food & Wine named Julia a “Best New Mixologist,” drawing national recognition to her name. Born and raised in Japan, she learned much about hospitality from her mother, who entertained family guests with a meticulous appreciation for details. Julia’s passion for the bar is driven by the pursuit of excellence, and a sincere commitment to discipline, hospitality, and creativity is evident in her work.
