Jose "Pepe" Hermosillo
Jose “Pepe” Hermosillo is the Founder and Maestro Tequilero of Casa Noble, an ultra-premium brand of 100% blue agave tequila nurtured and harvested in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. As the visionary behind Casa Noble’s award-winning and sophisticated taste, Pepe pushes the boundaries of his craft while honoring family traditions passed down through seven generations of celebrated tequila makers.
Today, in his relentless quest to create the world’s finest tequilas— Pepe has successfully propelled Casa Noble as a reputable, high-end spirit that truly goes beyond industry standards. One of the few certified organic tequilas in the market, Casa Noble’s lush taste and smooth finish comes to life in three notable expressions including Casa Noble Crystal, Reposado and Añejo as well as several other higher-end, limited edition offerings. In 2014, Casa Noble joined Constellation Brands, adding to the leading beverage alcohol company’s prominent beer, wine and spirits portfolio.
In his role at Casa Noble, Pepe oversees the brand’s innovative yet traditional production methods as he implements new ideas and concepts into forward practice. From the triple-distillation method to the use of French white oak barrels and the latest Single Barrel varieties— Pepe has evolved and advanced the tequila-making process with passion, conviction and integrity. Furthermore, Pepe supervises the growth and expansion of Casa Noble’s 1,500-acre estate, distillery and haciendas. Recently, the Maestro Tequilero was profiled in Latino Leaders magazine for his entrepreneurial excellence.
In collaboration with the Tequila Regulatory Council (Consejo Regulador del Tequila), Pepe helped establish the revolutionary Single Barrel category, encouraging a unique approach embraced by other distillers. Additionally, alongside partner Carlos Hernandez, Pepe developed Tequila Riedel Glass— an elegant line of exclusive tequila glasses designed to highlight the finest characteristics of the spirit.
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Pepe was first introduced to the world of business by his father, a well-respected and successful businessman in the hospitality and construction industries. He studied economics at the University of Dallas and received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) in Guadalajara.
