Fernanda Covarrubias was Born in 1988 in Guadalajara (Jalisco, Mexico). She got a degree in Tourism Administration Business at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, while she worked at several restaurants in the city (at the beginning of Cabernet and Ofelia Bistro among others). In the course of that degree, she got a stage in Valencia (Spain) but circumstances of life were changed at the last moment, leading to the Hacienda Benazuza. (Two Michelin stars) In spite of her little experience with she counted in such kitchens before arriving, she was able to adapt and highlight with a way of self-taught and disciplined learning, she finally discovered her vocation. Her perseverance and perfectionism of led her to work in large restaurants along with world-renowned Ferrán Adriá and Heston Blumenthal as a pastry restaurant chef.
After having been a pastry restaurant chef to Benazuza in Cancun where she put into practice her creativity, and have done courses at the famous Parisian patisserie Laduree, after that She returned to his homeland to established a place everything learned and researched, this place resulted in “The Postrería”. The Postreria was founded in 2013, this place had a great public acceptance quickly, receiving multiple international publications. This way Fernanda becomes a part also important gastronomic festivals such as COME International Festival of Flavors, among others, as well as giving workshops and lectures in different universities throughout the country. In 2015 “The Postreria” won recognition as Best Sweet Experience by Gourmet Awards.
