 What is included with each ticket type?

Main Event Grand Tasting:

Guests enjoy:

  • Two stages with live cooking demonstrations 
  • Two spaces featuring expert seminars
  • Gourmet tastings from over 200 restaurants
  • Wine, Spirit and Beer Tastings
  • Book signings by internationally renowned chefs, master sommeliers, and winemakers

Grand Cru

As a special event within Chicago Gourmet, the Grand Cru offers participants exclusive tastings of some of the finest wines in the world with food tastings from award-winning chefs. Each Grand Cru event is a chance to learn and enjoy tastings with master sommeliers and winery representatives who will be on hand to present and discuss the selections. The Grand Cru is special event within the Chicago Gourmet main event and requires an additional fee for entrance. Click here for more information. 

 

Hamburger Hop

Join top chefs as they battle in a burger competition while guests enjoy tasty, gourmet burgers, along with beer, wine, spirits, and more.  A celebrity panel of judges determines the city's best burger award, while guests crown the people's choice. Click here for more information. 

 

Late Night Gourmet, presented by Chicago magazine:

The official after-party of Friday’s Hamburger Hop. This fun and festive event will cap off the evening with music from one of Chicago's hottest DJ's, late night bites, tasty libations, and revelry with Chicago Gourmet chefs, sommeliers, and other tastemakers. Click here for more information. 


WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT?

The festival is 21+ only. A valid ID is needed to enter all festival events. If we cannot verify your age, you will not be allowed into the festival. Anyone under the age of 21 will be stopped at the gate, refused entry, and passes will not be refunded.

 

Chicago Gourmet is open only to those 21 years of age and older. To ensure the comfort and safety of all attendees, we are unable to grant entry to children of any age – including toddlers and infants in strollers and/or baby carriers. We thank for your understanding, advance preparation and cooperation.

 

ARE TICKETS REFUNDABLE?

All ticket sales are final. Ticket exchanges and refunds are not available.

 

WILL ANY OF THE EVENTS BE CANCELLED IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER?

All events take place rain or shine. Weather contingency plans are in place in case of any inclement weather.

ALL GUESTS AND THEIR BELONGINGS WILL BE SEARCHED UPON ENTRY OR RE-ENTRY

Please be patient and plan ahead for the Chicago Gourmet Security Perimeter. Knowing what items are prohibited will help speed your bag check. Entry may be faster for those without bags. Please review the full prohibited items list before your visit.

  • Pets (Except for Service Animals)
  • Baby Strollers
  • Firearms, Explosives, Weapons of Any Kind (Including all Metal Knives, Pocket Knives, Cutlery, Pepper Spray, Fireworks, etc.)
  • Illegal Substances or Alcohol
  • Glass Containers
  • Food or Beverages
  • Open Flames
  • Bicycles, Skateboards, Scooters, Carts or Motorized Vehicles (Exception ADA Mobility Devices)
  • Chairs of Any Kind, Tents or Large Umbrellas
  • Coolers
  • Professional Cameras, Video or Audio Equipment
  • Any Items Deemed Dangerous by Security
  • No Unauthorized Vendors
  • No Unauthorized Solicitations, Materials, Handbills, Flyers, Stickers, Samples, Giveaways etc.
  • Prohibited Items are Subject to Change

NO SMOKING POLICY:

Smoking including E-Cigarettes or Vaping Devices are Not Allowed on Park Property. 

 

FILMING IN PROGRESS ON SITE:

The festival grounds and event venues will be used as filming locations and by entering, you are agreeing to be photographed and/or filmed. By your presence in these areas, you are acknowledging that you have been informed that you may be photographed and recorded as part of the release into one or more feature films, marketing materials, or other filmed projects.

You are giving up all rights in and to such images and you release the photographers and filmmakers from any and all claims, demands or causes of action you may have for libel, defamation, invasion of privacy or right of publicity, infringement of copyright or trade-mark, or violation of any other right relating to any utilization of the rights gained.

DISABILITY ACCESS & ACCOMMODATIONS:

The event takes place in Millennium Park, which has been designed to be fully accessible to all patrons. There are wheelchair-accessible ramps to all cooking demonstration stages as well as elevators that provide access to Friday’s hamburger hop. Please be aware the majority of the event takes place on the great lawn, which has limited concrete paths around the festival. We will do our best to accommodate all guests throughout the festival in any way possible.

 

SAFETY & MEDICAL:

Chicago Gourmet makes every effort to create a safe environment on the festival grounds, including public and private security and medical staff. If you need any assistance, seek out a security guard or festival staff member.

 

LOST & FOUND:

During the festival, return found items to the registration tent at the entrances. Look for lost items at the registration tent at the entrance to the festival. After the festival, email chicagogourmet@illinoisrestaurants.org to inquire about lost items.
