Brett Neubauer boasts over 15 years of professional culinary experience which he brings to his role as executive chef of Rockit Burger Bar in Wrigleyville.
As executive chef of this Clark Street mainstay, Neubauer incorporates a culinary philosophy of upgrading traditional American dishes with contemporary twists. A few menu highlights that he has recently debuted include The Smash Burger, savory crab cake bites, and various fresh, updated salad options.
Upon graduating in 2002, Neubauer began his professional career with various culinary positions at Bin 36 and Prairie Grass Café. In 2009, he was introduced to Chef Scott Walton at Markethouse. The duo shared a similar outlook on culinary and management styles, and teamed up in opening Howells & Hood, where Neubauer assumed the role of executive chef, in March 2013.
