LUPITA ROMERO

Chef Lupita Romero is a Chicago-based Mexican chef known for celebrating the flavors, traditions, and history of Mexican cuisine. Originally from La Barca, Jalisco, she combines traditional techniques with a modern approach while staying deeply connected to her Mexican heritage.

She gained national recognition competing on Telemundo’s MasterChef Latino, where she finished in third place. She is also the chef behind Casa Huitzil Kitchen, a project dedicated to showcasing authentic Mexican flavors and culture.

Her most recent project is La Malquerida in Berwyn, where she continues to bring her creativity, experience, and passion for Mexican cuisine to the Chicago-area dining community.
