Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse
Travis Strickland joins Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House, Chicago as Chef de Cuisine.
Travis attended The Culinary Institute of America and graduated with honors. There he gained a piece of the fundamentals of cooking that would be the foundation for his future culinary path. From there, Travis went on to cook at the legendary Blackberry Farm in Walland, TN where he learned to work closely with farm fresh products and developed a better understanding of food and flavor profiles.
Having grown up in the Midwest, Travis looked to return to Chicago and his roots. He made his way through several Chicagoland restaurants learning the ropes and relishing in the challenges that came with running top level kitchens. Eventually, Travis became Corporate Executive Chef for Chicago Cut Steakhouse and The Local Chicago.
Travis is an avid runner and cyclist and co-founded The Culinary Institute of America’s annual 5K “Run for Their Knives” event benefiting a memorial scholarship fund and promoting health and well-being in the culinary community. He plans to compete in the Chicago Triathlon this year.
