Joshua Marrelli (30) grew up in San Diego before moving to Chicago to attend Le Cordon Bleu. Marrelli was the the executive sous chef at award-winning Epic before being the Chef de Cuisine at Urban Union. Marrelli in his first Executive Chef role at the Chop Shop has been recognized as a best new restaurant by Chicago magazine, and had several dishes noted in the "best of" issues of Chicago Reader, Time Out and CS magazine.
I love cooking simple food where flavors and technique can shine though.
