Food Service Sanitation
Certification classes are a service of the Illinois Restaurant Association and are approved by the Illinois Department of Health and all municipalties, including the City of Chicago. IRA instructors are recognized as leaders in foodservice instruction and are certified by the Illinois Department of Health, the Chicago Department of Health and local health authorities.
Classes are held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Attendance at all three sessions is required for certification.
Tuesdays - 6, 13, 20
Wednesdays - 14, 21, 28
Thursdays - 1, 8, 15

*Saturday classes are held from 7:30am to 5:00pm.
State & City of Chicago Recertification
Foodservice sanitation certificates expire five years after their date of issue. Check your certificates to ensure that they are renewed before their expiration. Please plan ahead: it takes approximately 4 weeks to process the necessary city and/or state documents.
This one-day program is held at the IRA classrooms held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Student must present an original certificate day of class NO COPIES ACCEPTED
