Illinois Diner’s Guide- At no cost to you, this diner’s resource features only members of the IRA, and is geared for the Illinois diner looking for either a particular city or type of restaurant. It is available on the Internet at www.illinoisrestaurants.org. Your free listing in the IRA Diner’s Guide gives you exposure with your peers and suppliers.

INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIONLegislative Representation- Registered lobbyists work to protect your business by promoting views and legislation in the best interest of the food service industry at the national, state and local levels of government.
Public Affairs Conference- Annual conferences for IRA members, consisting of legislative and regulatory briefings with key government officials and representatives.
Grassroots Program- This program coordinates a statewide or local industry response to proposed laws and regulations so operators speak out with one voice on issues which impact our industry’s business climate.
IRPAC- The Illinois Restaurateurs’ Political Action Committee contributes to Illinois candidates who support the restaurant industry.

EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATIONThe IRA Educational Foundation- Serves the hospitality industry’s growing labor challenge by creating and operating workforce development programs focused on generating career and job opportunities for the youth of Illinois, while providing a skilled labor force for our industry. The Foundation manages the ProStart Schools to Careers Program, scholarships, career mentors, job shadowing, internship opportunities, field trips, workshops and guest speakers for students.
