Chef Mario Hernandez is a Chicago native who has been building his culinary career since the young age of 15. A Culinary Institute of America grad, Chef fell in love with cooking while working at The Strongbow Inn in Valparaiso, IN and continued his culinary journey as sous chef and ultimately Executive Chef at Lake of the Four Seasons Country Club. Chef Mario then accepted the sous chef position at Majestic Star Casino where he remained for five years, until returning to Chicago in 2010 to become Chef de Cuisine at the Wit Hotel. 

Chef joined the Del Frisco’s team in June of 2013 and enjoys keeping up with food trends and experiencing the amazing dining scene in Chicago. Even though he cooks for a living, he truly loves cooking for friends and family in his off time as well.
