Larry first began his culinary experience working in his hometown restaurants along the Jersey Shore. After years of working every position in the front and back of the house, he knew culinary school was the obvious choice for his future. After graduating from The Academy of Culinary Arts, Larry worked six years in hotel kitchens including The Golden Nugget Casino and Trump Castle Casino in Atlantic City and The Grand Bay Hotel in Miami before returning home. Once again in New Jersey, he accepted the position of Executive Chef at a large and popular seafood restaurant, The Boathouse. After leading the kitchen for two years, he went in a new culinary direction, as the Executive Chef for Coast to Coast Catering. He traveled cooking on movie sets for a total of 10 years working on more than 50 feature films in 17 different states. In 1997, Larry started his own company, Movie Chefs, also catering for movie productions. He especially enjoyed experiencing the regional cuisine and local favorites, picking up culinary traditions and tips in each new location. In 1998, the TV series Early Edition brought him to Chicago. Seeking to once again join the restaurant industry, he found a position as Executive Chef with Lettuce Entertain You, working for nine years at Wildfire, Mity Nice, Foodlife and Foodease. Larry lives in Palos Heights with his wife Jodi and children Larry and Jenna. With more than 30 years in the restaurant industry, Larry is committed to ensuring all guests have a great dining experience, he is still very excited to create new dishes and run successful restaurants.
