Jessica Brumleve’s passion for hospitality and culinary arts started at the age of seven when she served breakfast in bed to her parents. After attaining her A.A.S. Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University in Virginia, she moved to Chicago in 2003 and spent a year at Everest under Jean Joho. The restaurant was rated second best in Chicago in 2004 by Chicago Magazine during her tenure.

Chef Brumleve was Senior Sous Chef for three years at Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse in Chicago and played a vital role in the restaurant’s success; during her time there, it was rated one of Chicago’s top 10 steakhouses by Crain’s Chicago Business. Prior to Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, Brumleve spent time at Atwood Café where she focused on farm-to-table cooking, seasonal menu items and eco-friendly preparations.

Originally from Bethany, Ill., Brumleve spent time in Texas where she developed her culinary skills and leadership ability. She now lives in Pilsen with her dog Roux and enjoys perusing local farmers’ markets, biking through the city and, of course, dining out.
