The Dinner Party
Elysabeth Alfano is an arts and culture journalist, former gallery owner and current TV, radio and stage producer and host.
After 16 years in the fashion and art world, in 2009, Elysabeth began her production company, Fear No ART Chicago, which launched its first show, Fear No ART on PBS’ WTTW with Elysabeth as its Creator, Executive Producer and Host. he success of the show was remarkable and, with the gaining momentum of the internet, it branched out into a very popular bi-weekly web series. With all statistics pointing to the internet as the new TV, she launched a new show with a new format, entitled, The Dinner Party with Elysabeth Alfano, on January 30, 2012. The Dinner Party is a monthly live foodie talk show in which Elysabeth invites 3 celebs to a dinner created by a prominent chef. Over food, wine and a few impromptu performances, the unscripted conversations flow! Filmed live in front of a live audience at Chicago City Winery, the show is as close as possible to TV broadcast quality with a five camera feed and a live editor. The Dinner Party with Elysabeth Alfano streams live on The Chicago Sun-Times, and later goes to TiVo, Ch. 19 and the multiple internet homes. Viewers and audience members share in the food from the chef and the conversation via Twitter in this interactive and popular celebrity roundtable show over food. Elysabeth shows us that the best conversations do happen over dinner.
In addition, Elysabeth taught graduate and undergraduate classes in marketing at Columbia College. She has also done voiceover work for Kurtis Productions and took the Improv for Actors Series with Second City. She has written art and restaurant reviews, done countless TV and radio interviews, including some for WBEZ, and sometimes brings The Dinner Party with Elysabeth Alfano to WGN Radio.
