Belgian-born Master Chef Daniel Joly graduated from the Culinary Institute of Brussels in 1986. He continued to train at Michelin Guide Three-start Michelin in Brussels.
Chef Joly came to the United States in 1988, where he worked at Restaurant Million, a Relais & Chateau restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina. Four years later Joly moved to Beaver Creek, Colorado, in 1992 where he became Chef-manager for Mirabelle Restaurant. Joly went on to purchasing Mirabelle in 1999.
Joly's unique cooking style has been acclaimed by numerous publications and institutions. In January 2008, Chef Joly's restaurant Mirabelle received four-star ratings from the Mobil Travel Guide and AAA. Joly has also received an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator magazine for 15 years running. Joly additionally hosts the popular "Something's Cooking with Daniel" on TV8 in Vail, Colorado.
When he’s not dazzling guests with his light, contemporary menu and fresh, local ingredients, Chef Joly occupies his time with publishing cookbooks. He has published "Just not another Cookbook" and has recently released two e books, "Cooking with Beer" and "Gluten free cooking" on amazon.com. Chef Joly a certified Belgian Master chef that works in the United State of America, additionally he is also a member of the prestigious Euro Toques which is an organization that supports a healthy food standard for quality products. Master Chef Joly has been elected as a brand ambassador for the Belgian beer, Stella Artois. Along with owning his restaurant in Beaver Creek he travels to various food and wine festivals across the nation where he hosts cooking demo's and holds seminars for the Belgium beer Heritage . Recently, he has embarked on his latest project, chefjoly.com which allows for guests and patrons to follow Daniel's culinary adventure.
Joly resides in Beaver Creek, Colorado with Nathalie and their two children.
