Chef Kevin Hickey joined the Rockit Ranch Productions team in 2013 as the new Chef/Partner of Bottlefork and The Duck Inn as well as the Partner and Director of Food & Beverage for Rockit Ranch Productions.
Previous to Rockit Ranch Productions, Chef Hickey worked for the Four Seasons hotels and resorts in California, Dublin and London before coming back to his native Chicago in 2004, where he led his team to a Michelin Star and AAA Five Diamond status.
In 2014, Chef Hickey opened Bottlefork Bar & Kitchen, the first partnership with Rockit Ranch. Bottlefork is a new American concept that offers locally sourced and globally inspired cuisine and cocktails and displays Chef Hickey’s penchant for big, bold flavors showcased in modern interpretations of both familiar and new American dishes. Continuing Chef Hickey’s farm-to-table philosophy, Bottlefork features key collaborations with local Midwestern brewers, farmers, winemakers and more. Bottlefork has received numerous awards and accolades including “Best New Restaurants” by Travel + Leisure.
Chef Hickey’s highly anticipated Bridgeport venture The Duck Inn opened at the end of 2014 and is the 7th Rockit Ranch Productions venue. The Duck Inn, a neighborhood Tavern and Dining Room housed in a pre-prohibition era tavern that has continuously operated for almost a century, showcases Chef Hickey’s signature ingredients and seasonally driven modern American cuisine as well as an extensive beverage program filled with craft beers, contemporary cocktails and creative wine service. The Duck Inn has already received numerous accolades and great reviews, including 3 stars from The Chicago Tribune.
Chef Hickey recently oversaw the highly anticipated re-launch of RRP’s flagship restaurant, Rockit Bar & Grill. As a pioneer of the Gastro-tavern movement in Chicago, Rockit Bar & Grill was at the forefront of serving creative, innovative and quality food in a comfortable yet stylish setting. On May 1, 2015 Rockit Bar And Grill reopened after 10+years with a complete redesign and newly inspired menu to continue delivering an elevated experience for its guests. Chef Hickey oversaw the menu revamp with Rockit’s Executive Chef Amanda Downing to create a chef-driven dining experience featuring a tightly curated selection of modern American dishes.
As Partner and Food & Beverage Director for Rockit Ranch, Chef Hickey oversees the Kitchens and Beverage programs for every Rockit Ranch venue, maintaining overall quality and operational efficiency as well as ensuring that every guest has an elevated entertainment experience.
Chef Hickey is also actively involved in several philanthropic organizations including Global Act, Growing Power and Common Threads.
